well they say that it is a 382 ls7. so i am guessing they re sleeved it with thicker sleeves and kept the bore smaller so that they get more meat on the cylinder walls.

i do agree with you that the lsx block is a little heavy, and i think the warhawk is a good substitute. and who cares if it is allot more money then the ls2. people that will be buying those kind of cars are not exactly short on cash. and building an ls2 to that level is not going to be cheap aether.

You're first post included the lsx as an option. I just got a price for a 1700-1900 hp ls2 and it wasn't bad at all and from what I've seen, they last if done right.
