What air filter air you guys using on your turbos? I tried the K&N off of my old LT1 but it was a hair to small.

As of now, I have none. lol. I was thinking about running a 90* coupler off the turbo and utilize the ram air though.

I dont remember if it was here or another forum, but i believe it was a spectre or similar filter that failed and took out the turbo. sucked the center right out it.

i saw this also, i think it was posted here, it sucked the center cap out of the filter and ate up the turbine and i think it might have ruined the engine as well, i know the turbo was destroyed though

Heres a couple K&Ns that summit has:
KNN-RU-2520
KNN-RE-0870

Summit also has their rebadged ones that are about 10-15$ cheaper.

Does anyone see a problem with using a 4" to 3" reducer and just using a 3" pipe for the intake?

You don't want a reducer before the turbo. I have these on my TBSS and Syclone:

http://www.racepartsolutions.com/products.asp?cat=131

You'll need the 4" inlet for your T70, in either the 6" or 9" length (depending on how much room you have). And, they have the cone end for better flow.
