Default prochager ?

I was wondering if a f1 series blower would fit onto my d1sc bracket. I've heard you have to make some room for it because they are larger but never knew if they needed a new bracket. Anyone know?

Yes I think the F1A and C will fit on the bracket, but the F1R will not.

All F series Prochargers will fit on a D1SC bracket. The most common and easiest to fit is the F1A blower. The volute is the same size as the D1SC (9") The F1C & F1R are the same physical size (9.75") volute and are larger than the F1A. The only different between F1C & F1R are the impellers. Depends on the combo. The F1A is a great supercharger, but to really turn up the wick the F1C is great. However you will have to move the lower radiator mount forward and custom fab an air intake for the F1C or F1R

I've got another good Procharger question. Do all Prochargers have the same bolt pattern on them or do they have to be ordered for your specific set up. For example can I take a F1 blower of a Mustang and toss it onto my bracket and call it a day?

Wrong: anything from a P1sc to an F2 will bolt up to the fbody J bracket.

This link will show what fits from one unit to another. You have to make sure the one you are planning to use will be spinning the correct way. Bob

That chart works perfect if I could read it. LS1 Fbodies would be an A-R right?

You can't read it? I can't either...

http://www.procharger.com/pdf/appGuide.pdf

Open up the above pdf and go to page 47 (if you go by the page counter at the top) the actual page # will be page 46. Bob

when switching self contained blowers, you have to make sure the drain plug is at 6 o clock, so the oil slinger is correct-when Procharger makes them up, they are designed to be clocked a certain way, and may not oil properly clocked diff-i had to send one back and have it reset, they gave me the wrong clocking-they will bolt up, just not correct internally
