Got a little done today. Heaven forbid I had to work on paying customers cars, and we had a local diesel group rent out the dyno today, so I didn't get as much as I wanted done.
Tore down a stock 01 LS1 today to use for the mock up block. Mated the block to the Virginia Speed supplied ATI Superglide SFI case, and the Madman plates.
Meziere Billet water pump block adapters.
Here are a couple shots of the mighty 106, next to a PTE67HPQ for comparison.
Should have the plates installed Monday.

I have a quick question, why go with a big single over a twin setup? It seems like most people go twins but the LS crowd prefers a single monster turbo. Is there an advantage to be had by running a single over twins?

I have been having too much fun buying and selling parts, but the time has come to start getting some work done on the car. . Of course after this round of mods, it goes back in the garage until some key components show up.

Didn't have a chance to get much done today. I had to install an upgraded 1.3L Harrop blower, and supporting mods on a 07 Cobalt SS for a customer.
I did get a stock rearend under the car to roll it around though. I will need to get a threaded weld-on for the panhard bar and shorten it up about 2 inches. I had to relocate the frame mount with the mini tubs, and still retain the cross brace. It looks mean on the passenger side with the tire tucked though, a little ghetto on the drivers side.
