We have used both, the fastest pass on radials was using a footbrake. The car 60'ed better on a slick but did not 330' as well.

Just depends on the tire, gear, and track. We have left with as little as 5 psi and as much as 15.

If you read his sig you will see that they are 317's with valvesprings, so obviously the heads have been off of their original motor ? The front of the heads being milled were done as a joke.

Yea no suprise my 317's didn't come factory on my ls1....the main reason the front of the heads are milled/engraved is because they were oxidized and ugly.

What does it matter either way?

He claimed fastest stock short-block, not fastest stock long-block.

In this thread but in the race for fastest ls he said must be stock longblock... I have been 9.51@147 mph at 3500 ft da with a garbage 60 foot but I am not in contention because I run ported 317s.

You must have me confused for someone else. I dont really care how people classify this stuff, just as long as its an even playing field I am confident.

I did pick on you that you were the only person I know of that was going for a stock motor record with a motor that had been gone through. Honed block, newer style rods and pistons(which are better then mine), ect. It was just a joke and nothing more then that. Its just for fun and not important enough to tear down the motors after a pass on camera, lol.

Who cares whats got what. At the end of the day Anthony's TA hauls the mail with the parts it has. I will be the first to say the car impressed me all the way around. That tends to be hard to do. It does the deed with a very limited setup. He has set the bar very high, and given everyone something to shoot for.

If I hadnt just picked up a 11:1 HKE 408ci for $2500 I would be in the hunt for the record. I have something else in mind for this year. Who says 11:1 and boost doesnt go together?

Keep it up Anthony. I say its got a 8 second pass in it.
