FI for my WS6 (Vortech/Procharger)
So i've been looking around now at some FI systems and now im stuck.
Procharger and Vortech both have good looking systems and an easy assembly.
Im looking for any advice towards what can expect from these head units as far as quality and reliability from previous buyers. Still in a debate between a single or twin intercooler(s).
My car currently only has a Finish Line Lvl4 transmission with a TBSS 2000 torque converter and a GMMG catback. I will be getting Kooks LT's, dual electric cut outs, and a Kooks high flow catted y-pipe. This car is not going to be a power house strip car. Im looking to make 450RWHP/TQ and dress the car for shows.

First off, either kit will easily get you to your 450rwhp mark, so no need to worry about that. Both Vortech and Procharger are reliable head units.
However with that said I would go Procharger. The install is a little bit cleaner and their is more people with procharger units, so support is more readily available.

The above two links both had D-1SC's on them. Bob

Now with me going with a procharger the cost is gonna be around $6,000.
Comparing this to a Head/Cam set up with exhaust and intake mods...
Which to go with, FI or Motor mods? Reliability?

go FI! Motor is ok but by the time you try and make anywhere the same power that you could do with boost your past what a stock motor with boost can do. Not to mention the lack of bottom end power and hard driveability that the car will have with a big cam and heads set up. Then try and sell the heads cam pistons exhaust etc.... Vs sellig a Procharger sys and hVing your car stock? What about if you pop a stock motor on boost? Pick up an lq4 for $500 and call it a day vs you pop your built motor... Replace all the parts in that one. Haha. Boost is the wayto go and I wish that I did that the first time vs the 4th time. If I look at the guys that have boost, they are still making more power thn the other guys and loving there car and beating the heads cam guys.

it depends on your goals, if your sole goal is for 450 hp i'd stick with motor mods. A nice heads/cam with bolt ons setup can net you that fairly easily with reliability and DD capabilities. If you will have more goals in mind then a procharger would be quite nice. Think about your goals and wants prior to building.
