Default lpe-003 2 step and boost

I just got my lpe 2 step. first, off the instructions with this thing are top notch. big,clear, easy to follow wiring examples, in full color.

so I have it just about wiried in and start to think maybe I should have got the lpe -002 with timing retard. for anyone using the lpe-003 what are you doing about tuning with this. my tune is pretty dead on, I'm just not sure if I have re tune to use this thing or not. I guess I just thought the little box did it all. my job was to set it,push the clutch in and hold on.

any input would be great. did some searching but all I could find was topics about wiring it up with a line lock. (i'm going to try that today)

well I got it hooked up and it trys to make boost but just back fires. called lpe and they said I probally have it hooked up to the cc switch. the big black switch under the clutch pedal is the clutch safty/clutch start switch correct?

it does fine at 1/4 throttle, gets to about 10in vaccum and is 13.1 on the wideband. once I try and put it to the floor it will start to spool then back fire and it goes lean. fuel pressure stays good, what are some of you turbo guys seeing on your a/f when coming up on the 2 step?

for an automatic thats normal...mine went from 13.0-14.5.....theres no load on it under the 2 step so let her eat. You have a clutch so lots like to add fuel like 10.5 afr and pull timing way low

It's supposed to backfire. Thats what spools the turbo.

ok so you guys are saying I need to pull timing around 3k and stop being such a puss. check

the going lean part is what I was worried about. pulling timing should take care of that. thx!
