thats the main reason why im trying to sell my fully built gsr turbo civic.. not happy with 500whp from rice hahha.i want to make decent numbers with my camaro and get back to my roots. i had many mustangs and camaros in the past and then had to get rid of them when my daughter was born and then got a grandprix lol. but i traded my trx450r for a 95 civic coupe bone stock. took out the shitty motor and built a d16y8 forged pistons and rods and all for real cheap and slapped a turbo on... EVEN though i talked all kinds of **** on hondas before.. i just didnt really have money to play with or anything to spend so it was my only option and then got it tuned. and was walking my cousin 92 foxbody stang with a fordracing cam, headers /full exhaust, clutch,373s, short throw shifter, cai, throttle body and all that. his mustang would pull 1st and 2nd because all i did was spin and 3rd it was all over. but i got rid of it and did another honda build. and then after that i just have been saving money and i got approved for a loan and got back to my V8s hahahaha. now i have to get back into the game cuz my good friend has my old turbo kit on his jdmb16 civic coupe and that lil f**ker screams and his buddy has a srt4 with 20psi and exhaust and intake and that thing is a camaro eater! its about time for me to show them up

if your going with a procharger your not going to make extreme low end grunt. depending on your cam (i would choose the epp 232/240) i would go with 3.90's or 4.10's. forged engine and more boost 10+ then i would go with 3.73's or 3.90's. if you plan on going with bigger cubes and boost (say a 402ci) then i wouldn't go past 3.73's.

Prochargers are nice on the street because the boost ramps up allowing you to get traction. One of the GTO guys is running over 600rwhp with a D-1SC and can go WOT with 19's and Nitto NT05 tires in 2nd gear(6 speed car).

im not going to go bigger cubes at this point. ill just stick to my little 355. but i wouldnt mind bumping up the boost a bit and a good tune. but i wanted to install my 410s and everyone else is sayin it will be a bad idea.

I don't why gears are a bad idea. I always though you wanted more gear with centrifugal blowers.

the taller the gear (lower numerical) the longer you stay in boost (no difference between a turbo car and centrifugal when it comes to this).
a 4.10 especially on an already torquey Lt1 with a centrifugal blower is a traction **** show. the only good thing is you would load the blower up faster but your in boost for less time so that negates it IMO
ideally, id look for something in the 3.73 range since your a manual but nothing wrong with the 3.42's. id strap the blower on first then see how you like it with the 3.42's then consider changing.

I've had a P600B on a 355 before. Don't be fooled about boost being ramped up as rpm goes up. It hits alot harder and comes on quicker than you think it would, I thought the same thing. Also, it was through an automatic. Once you break traction it will hit 7 grand in an instant so make sure your rev limit is in order. 6 speed and 4.11 gears means a lot of fun but, don't expect to much out of the traction department. 3.42 or 3.55 gear will make it more predictable. Since you have the 4.11's, run them for now and have fun. It's hard to beleive so much power can come from something not much bigger than a alternator. I loved mine, sounded pretty cool too. Good luck.

This is the route I would go.

As mentioned prior I had a P600B as well. It was in a 6 speed car and was plenty fast with 3.42's. I killed quite a few modded hondas and SRT-4's as well. Although now I just look over at those cars and laugh. Its a waste of time and I dont want to see sheriff joe at tent city for racing some lame *** ricer.

OP, did you ever install this?

I'm looking at getting a used kit for a decent price for the LT1 going into my '81 Z28.
