T70 or T76?
I am getting some turbo parts together for my 4.8 and after talking to a few people the Master Power T70 .96AR P trim was suggested to me for my hp goal. Now I plan on pulling the engine apart down the road and building it specifically for boost and was wondering if I could just start with a T76 so I dont have to sell and buy a new turbo in the future?
Specs are:
GenIV 4.8
LS2 intake with 60lb injectors
243 heads with LS6 springs
z06 cam (2nd one)
ARP rod bolts
HP goal around 500
After building the engine im going to shoot for the 800hp range.

im in the same boat. except im doing 317s on a 5.3. I am using a C5-R timing chain, Katech rod bolts, and ARP studs up top with LS9 headgasket, so I should be OK with a solid tune to run it to the limit. im in a lightweight car though, 2800 with me in it. and will have a trans and stall built specific to the setup. looking to run bottom 9s or click into the 8s on stock crank, rods, pistons if possible, or at least blow up trying

I made 505/536 on my old 4.8 with a ls6 cam and 11psi of boost in my truck. That was with a MP T70 with a .68 a/r. My advise, put a MP T70 on it now, (.68 a/r), they are cheep and have descent resale. Then when you build the bigger motor, sell the 70 and buy a 76. Why sacrifice now for later? It's not a lot of money. Not like they are $1200 turbos,
