You guys build killer combos....period.
How do you think the aluminum intake would compare powerwise to a stock LS7 intake if you did not need staged injection?
How much boost do you think a stock LS7 intake will take structurally? Might push mine into the mid 20's this year.

Thanks Tom. I think peak power would be similar but this car feels a little softer down low.
I actually prefer the composite intakes, especially for a street driven car, but for the staged injection and hood clearance this is a good option for the money.
I would have no worries putting 30+psi through an LS7 intake. I'm not -certain- it wouldn't break, but it appears to be rather strong.

We have not asked Classic about doing any street vids since the roads here are cold, salty and dangerous for something like this.
Classic will have to chime in
I do believe it's an intakeelbows elbow. This car just got built, so not thoughts of changing things.
it actually made 1161 Tuesday at 23.5psi
I do not recall the reasoning for no TQ, but Jim can answer that question
yes..besides the build being so awesome the stock look just finishes it off

The elbow is from intakeelbows. It is built for clearing stock hoods, but because of the build of the firehawk hood, specifically the thick part by the cowl, it had to be cut. The idea was not to change the stock look of the car, especially since the Firehawk package was really just the hood and wheels.
The car will be headed back to NC (Greensboro) shortly, but don't expect many vids especially with the weather we have been having lately - 8 inches of snow this morning! Eventually the car might make it down to visit some old friends in Atlanta where there are plenty of fast cars to play with.
