Quick question. Has anyone had issues running them with the stock style o-ring gaskets with boost? What about 20+ psi boost? I know I have seen a lot of the 7 and 8 second guys running them.
One of my local shops recently had one come apart at 12 psi. They ended up filling and re-surfacing the o-ring grooves and then used traditional style gaskets.
I have never heard of this issue. Anyone else? My intake is being port matched right now and the porter was asking me if I wanted to have mine filled in.

I think it is hit or mis with those intakes... I know there was a problem with the aluminum breaking at the edges of the vic jr's where the o rings go. But I think it was due to over torqueing the bolts. I am using one of them but I am only running 11psi.

No problems with mine - 23lbs. I did switch to the Super Victor. The Super looks like it will be a much better intake for boost. I have no complaints about the Jr, it did the job.

On my old TT setup I had the Vic Jr. On the passenger side the back porrt where the rubber o-ring sit was milled out to close to the edge and ended up breaking off. We had to re-weld it and had no problems out of it after that. I have switched to super vic as well. Alot thicker on the deck surface.
Since we're on the topic of Victor series manis, does anyone run one of these box style elbows? Looks like it would clear the hood and cowl but I'd like to know how they perform on a boosted application.

one thing i have experienced was best to use the stock GM o rings, i had some NAPA orange ones, they were a lot cheaper, but kind of came apart, so i went back to the GM ones-i wonder if you can use the trad. ones w/o filling the groove-i know they have them in a couple diff thicknesses

so, whats the proper torque rating for these?11 ft/lbs right?
