The rear holes on the stock K-member don’t line up all that great either.
That’s why the rear holes in the stock K-member is so big and the bolt
has a big washer.

Look at the washer bite marks on the stock K-member, all the ones I’ve
seen are far from center.

^^^ you try bolting up a stock k member and you will see how easy that is going to be.

the bmr k member is just as difficult to install, except that you have to bend the brake lines a bit.

This is correct about the rear most holes in the K-member.

From the factory these holes run large to help accommodate variations in the manufacturing of the vehicle.

We've done a bunch of them. Most motors running poly motor mounts need a prybar to get the bolts through.I've had the problem on stock and BMR subframes.Truthfully I didn't think much about it since it just takes a prybar and an air gun to run the bolt through and ussually takes less than a minute.

Thanks to Lee@BMR for the specs..it was also very nice talking to you on the phone. Update: My k-member is dead-on fro specs...so I looked at the poly mounts for the 50th time, and FINALLY saw that I somehow managed to install one upside-down in the clamshell case....and had the clamshell installed on the engine upside down. I must have looked at these damned mounts with closed eyes or something, but it looks like I screwed up. I'm not sure if the height of the center of the mount will change once the insert issue is corrected, but at least I now know that the kmember is dead-on!

Thanks again, Lee

I now feel like a dumb-***, but better-off for finally catching this problem.

I was able to source a stock mount this morning for comparison. FWIW, there is indeed an "offset" to the bolt hole of the poly mount. This offset is not visible on a used factory mount, due to how sloppy they are. The offset looks (by eyeing it) to be the exact amount I need to make this fit correctly.

Just something to be aware of.....

Hey don't worry about it mistakes happen

At least you decided to pursue the issue instead of just writing it off as poor workmanship on our part...I appreciate it
