Default Just how much boost?

Got this LS4....

5.3L V8
325ci
243 Heads (not exact due to minor machining from factory but, same heads in general if that makes since)
10:1 Compression Ratio
LSx Valve springs and push rods
Springs are LS1's if that helps as well...

Running on 8PSI now and not wanting to run meth like the front mount kit for these GXP's. The front mount kit is getting 504whp with pump gas (91) with meth injection....

We are thinking that Ill be right around the 420-430 mark...without meth...CAN I GO FURTHER WITHOUT USING METH....im trying to determine at what point the meth is helping create the power pass the motor limits and where the motor stops and needs the meth...? Is it the meth creating the power or is it the motor creating the power due to the meth reducing the ping and KR? and where is the happy median? Im guessing in watching for it in the toon as I turn up boost?? any thoughts appreciated??

And will I need to tune for my exhaust getting ready to be wrapped due to more velocity of air now in the form of spool time?

Thanks guys!

you better upgrade those valve springs before you turn up the boost any further.

and if you do not want to use meth, switch to 317 heads, you will be able to run a little more boost with them without meth, due to the lower compression that you will get from the bigger combustion chamber.

the reason why people use meth is because it cools the air charge and will boost the octane level of the fuel.

good luck

Thanks elias! I agree...I was looking at some 130 springs...and possibly some push rods...I know that with the meth the front mount kit on this motor is running 10-12psi without springs....so if I run higher octane fuel that would probably help me out...I can afford to run on race gas everywhere I go...LOL...some said go E85....could do it if I had larger injectors possibly...or I could just spray the meth...

Thanks again...
