Agreed, but you in no way helped the original poster with his dilemma. You in no way gave any kind of understanding of why he saw what he did on his mechanical gauge. You're posts were nothing but absolutely useless and generally because you DID NOT KNOW the answer. STFU already.

I don't want this to turn into a arguing match. What I know is with my supercharged car , in the driveway just revving it,even up to 5-6000rpm, I could not get it to build boost, maybe 1lb, but when i drove the car and would go WOT at the same rpm then it would build boost and I would get the boost that I was pullied for. Driveway free revving, never happened, and it was a Vortech kit as well. Anyhow, sorry for hijacking this guys thread, and I hope some of this info helped him out.

my c5 with a 402 and a d1sc i CAN NOT see any boost just by revving it. i have to be driving it and accelerating! the higher you rev the motor and just hold it, it will have more vacuum!

id like to add, making boost or not, thats not the question, its what the gauge is reading!

My posts were regarding a technical discussion, yours is just to talk **** to me when you have had nothing else to say in the thread. I responded to other information in the thread and built on that. You made a post telling me to STFU and you think that is more relevant?

My difference in opinion with Hunter was kept mature and technical between grownups. Your useless crap talking post was not. Maybe I got into a side discussion that I should not have, but it was at least related to the content of this thread's discussion.

I very much so know the answer. When you go wide open and lose vacuum in the intake, the bypass valve will close and boost shows up because the supercharger is making it at all times. In the end the only real discussion would be over bypass valves I suppose. Some close easier than others, some rarely open unless idling and will show the boost at almost no throttle free revs, some require full WOT and won't let the manifold show boost on low RPM free revs.

you guys arent seeing boost in neutral because it doesnt take much throttle to rev. If you mat it and let it bounce on the rev limiter, itll sit there in boost if you dont blow it up
