I can't wait until Spring also.
My Turbo 400 is being installed in a few weeks, with 3200 stall, a transbrake, and 2-step, that should really wake the car up. This six speed is all but useless at this point, it won't even shift.
I forsee mid to high 10's in my future.

Im sticking to 6 speed as long as i can, Im hoping for low 10's in spring, then high 9's by fall. we shall see!

By the time I added up the cost of building a bullet-proof T-56 and getting a bullet-proof clutch, it was about the same as a TH400 with a transbrake.
Granted, I lose the overdrive, but I'm switching from 4.10 gears back down to 3.42's, that should keep me from taching out on the highway.
No more shifting problems, no more replacing clutches, and no more 11 seconds!
I'm trying to tie Nbm00WS6's times. He's running 10.49 @ 124.8 with 3.50 gears, which is my EXACT mile/hr even with the tranny problems I'm having now.
If I can lauch off the transbrake and cut a 1.49 60' like he did, i should right into the 10.40's as well with 3.42 gears.
Noyzee, with your mile/hr, you should also be cutting 1.4x 60's as well (instead of 1.60's), which will turn that 10.62 into a 10.32 or 10.22.
That might be a little tough with the 6-speed.
Also, its been my observation that 6-speeds with high horsepower tend to break 12-bolts, even with only 450RWHP, whereas 12-bolts seem to last longer with TH400 cars; and I wanted to reduce the risk of buying new axles, gears, etc.

I think with my mph and shitty 60' i should see lower 10's, then a couple small things and 9's should come, hopefully by the fall i'll have it together, then next year, auto and some weight reduction and mid 9's should be a go!! I hope, thats my plan.

MM, the spool was the strongest way to go, and it is not that bad on the street. I couldnt road race, but it is fine for the driving i do. and 225 is an Avrage. I sometimes dont drice the car for 3 weeks(like now, Im cleaning it for a 3 day car show.) and other weeks I drive to ESP(140 miles each way) or Ill drive 300-500 miles all over, It has been to NY state for classes i took and hit a 24" snow storm on the way home!!
Then I might not drive it again for 2 weeks because it was just all clean and the roads are nasty wet sandy and I dont feel like spending a week cleaning it!
It is 4 years old and has almost 50K on it. you saw it, it isnt in bad shape.50k and im in mass with a ton of snow and 2 other trucks, a car a Harley and a boat to drive as well!!!!!! 50K is alot for a car that was driven daily for 2 years and a toy now. It used to be a work truck as well with all my tools and a 4' lader in it!! People would crack up at that!
By the way, read the artical, 46,000 in oct when the shoot was and she has 49,000 in dec
3,000 in 2 months, in 3 feet of snow on the ground here in Mass!!!

I like them all!
