going by the pic you need a new or smaller belt, as the tensioner is all the way back against the stop and that will be whats rattling.

Dayco has a lot of tensioners here:

http://www.daycoproducts.com/daycowe...nerCatalog.pdf

These are their heavy duty versions and are built to last 1M miles. I have used some of their pulleys in my build and they are high quality.

do you want a spring tensioner? katech makes a really nice billet peice that eliminates the spring and prevents the belt deflection and belt throwing

no i dont want a solid one plenty of them over hear
i want a spring loaded one we have proved here that the belt stays tighter (less slip) with a spring loaded one when the belt stretches under WOT the solid one lets the belt slip
you would have to tighten it up at wot and then it would be to tight at idle
and they are very hard on the bearings on the blower drive and the other pulleys bearings

The one in the picture above is probably a Dayco unit modded to fit. I don't have an LSx P/N. You have to find a friendly parts guy and look at his Dayco catalog for more details.
