im sure that fixing the leaking gate will prob make a big difference, but a housing change seems logical. best thing is to wait and see what it does with everything working properly.

Good talking to ya today Ricky. I will give ya a shout when I get home from Vacation. The WG ring will help out alot. The tune is gonna be key as we talked about earlier. That Turbo is well proven on the Platform you are running. No worries there.

Appreciate the copy of that PM too. Funny **** right there.

WELL dynoed the car tonight, car makes good power but the power band is wrong. On low boost(11psi) and pump gas no meth. made 677/5xx!!!! the thing take a minuet to get wined up but then it pulls like a freight train!!! Would have been nice to get it to make 16 ps1 on the dyno but we had a hard enough time getting it to spool up that much LOL out on the road we could make to pull to 16 psi!!! sure would be nice to see what kinda power it would make at the boost level! from what i can see im going to need a different housing and maybe a smaller cam.

Ricky, with the 232/240 595/608 on 115 cam we have made a lot of instant horsepower with turbo equipped car in the past. I don't think the cam is the problem. The first car we ever put this cam in was a turbo Corvette we built, shown here. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=26

5/17/08 Update:

Randy brought his Z06 back to us to have us install a larger fuel system in it, so we could up the boost. We hadn't seen Randy or his Z06 for years, so it was nice to have them back, and it is nice to see the 'lil 346 was still running strong! This time around Randy's Z06 got tuned with our EFI Live software, instead of the LS1edit we use to use. That tells you just how long it has been since we built this car!

Once again we had a tough time getting traction on the dyno. We used extra straps to draw the rear tires down on the dyno rollers and Randy's 335's would still break loose. We did manage to get 851 rwhp, had the tires not broken loose and unloaded the turbo's, we are sure we would of seen a lot more power.

im not sure what it is yet. with the WG open we cant get more the 16 psi, the thought that we are having is that it is bleeding off to much boost. not sure yet.

Dont be so Quick to change the housing. I have seen as much as 40+ degrees of timing down low to get big turbo's to spool on small engines. It is a numbers game. Have you all changed the spring in the WG?

look at quik 's setup. 4.8L cam is around the same as yours, and he has a PT88 on it and was spooling it decently easy. The turbo isnt your problem, look elsewhere. Blown out header gasket, timing, wastegate fuel, etc.
