Thats what they go for. You're better off spending an extra 35$ and getting DPEs TRUE 2.5bar(up to 21.5psi) map sensor.

I used a map sensor from a chevy cobalt. Not a perfect fit but it does plug into my LS1 wiring harness. Also wouldn't 2.5 bar be something like 36.25psi.

The map sensor from an 07 supercharged cobalt is available at advance auto... I only want to push 15-18 pounds of boost and I have heard that the supercharged map is 2.5 bar. Would that be too much?

Its only a 2 bar. The only true plug in direct fit 2.5bar is from dpe corvettes in the link I provided above. Its 125$ and good up to 21.5psi.

this is kinda old but if you are using hp tuners or efi live you can check for your own piece of mind if you have the right bap sensor. if the scanner pid seems goofy put map volts in the table and look for 2.5v then you'll be sure its the right bap and delete the sae map pid.

That's the wrong sensor. There is no 2.5bar GenIII OS. The right part number is posted in the very first post (and in my link).
