Default What are your goals for the new year?

I know there are a lot of new projects going on + unfinished projects. I was wondering what you guys are hoping to achieve this year. I would like to make it to the tens and a 130+ trap would be nice also. Eventually this year I hope to put in a roll bar, 12 bolt + E.T. Streets. I may pulley down from a 2.95 to a 2.75 and see where the limits of the alky lie.

I dont think you'll see tens till you put in that 12bolt, right
think the'll let you get away with running no cage, or that chromed cage you were talking about, mabye you could make a removable cage to fool them.
or you could come up to norwalk when the cofba rents it out.
anyway you'll just have to stick with IRHA tracks.

Im not sure when im going to get my cage in, hopefully this summer,
but my goals are 10.50's at 130's maybe even on pump.

i want to see 10's in my daily driving truck this year

this year would also be a good time to start doing some of the safety mods that i have always ignored before, drive shaft loops, 6pt cage, harness.

My goal is to get my friggen' car back and have it be fast.

Once that happens, then I can start worrying about track goals...

Buy a better drive shaft.... Go with a cam and tighten up the exhaust. I'm @ 11.6 now so maybe 11.2ish... Then I get kicked off for having no cage..... I don't want to put in a cage so who know's what after that....

I don't know what ET/MPH it will give me (or how much RWHP/RWTQ)... But, I want to get my fuel system to handle the current boost level of around 13 or 14... I had to back out of it when I saw where it was going, since I know my fuel is not there.

I'm hoping for consistent high 6's in the 8th and mid 10's in the quarter.

My biggest goal is to do that with consistency and reliability, while maintaining a true street car.

I want to stop breaking stuff. (I can't afford or dont' want to do things to make 9's... I don't want to go to a TH400 or rip everything out of my car to make it 500 lbs. lighter.) I WOULD like to get skinnies and lighter rims for the track. I'd also like to eventually get a light-weight K-member.

I do believe I could avoid breaking drivetrain parts with a lighter car.

I'd also like a freer exhuast setup to get my RWHP up where it is supposed to be. Right now, I am a Torque Monster.

Oh... and I'd like to do something to better cool that Iron Block in mid-Summer time.

I would like to have my new forged LS6 block installed with the Turbo Tech T60 kit currently sitting my garage. That along with all of the goodies to go with it (Fuel sys., gauges, boost controller) Would like to just have a 500rwhp turbo'd daily driver. I guess thats not asking too much.

my goal all along has been 10.x at 13x mph on 93 octane i think that will come easy this year.. the hard part will be getting in the single digits and tuning with race gas which i have never done (also learning to tune in speed density (dfi)) in addition to the new set up, i picked up a 10 point to put in.. i'm gonna hate that, but if its cage or don't run i guess i'll have to live around it. i may also have to put a larger cam than the 218/.510 monster in there now.

to do it i am going to have to nail down my 60'.. if i can get a 1.5 anything, that would be a .4 reduction in ET right there. gonna try my best to stay on dot's

That DOES seem hard with 93 Octane. I currently run 100 octane or TORCO Accelerator. I guess I could try drag racing on 93, but I'd think that would be running it on the ragged edge and even my engine builder would think that is a bit irresponsible (If Im trying to get peak power).

A short burst of street racing doesn't seem to be as big a deal. But, 125 + MPH runs a half dozen or a dozen times in one night... I prefer an extra bit of caution.
