Default 71 chevelle LS3 turbo build

Heres a few pictures of my build. 1971 Chevelle, ls3, t56.

Motor

Brand new LS3 block
Wiesco boost pistons
Manley Rods
ls7 Cam
ARP head studs
241 heads ported by RPM
SS intake and exhaust oversize valves
60 lb injectors

Turbo Set up

Custom fabed front mount
PTGTS76mm
Tial 44
HKS bov
12-15 lbs of boost

Nice engine! Why the 241 heads though? Are they better for boost with that setup?

They are full cnc ported and had the part of the heads where the valves seat milled out for lower comp.

I see. Nice build and good luck with it. It will be a nasty ride. A turbo spooling from an old school muscle car will definitely catch people off guard.

Got most of my hotside done. Waiting my tubing for my wg and i still have to weld in my two 02 bungs. Its all 2.5 Stainless. Let me know what you guys think.

looks good. only question i have is, why is the u bend off the drivers header so big? looks like you could take 6" out of it.

Well i was trying to make the engine bay look a little less bare because im running no inners but it didint look as i hoped...but it makes everything look more even with the turbo on the opp. side.

headers are obx for a gm truck i just cut off the flanges and welded v bands. 300 dollar set of turbo manifolds!!!

Anymore pics of the car itself?? I grew up in the passenger side of my dads 71 that he had built.
