Default boost/vacuum reference help please

i read the sticky and did a search. here is my first problem.

-i have a JGS 60mm Blow off valve and it has two ports. my motor make about 20" of vacuum at idle. if i hook it up to the top port then it hold it open at idle, closes when revved, and open once again when released. do i use the top port or side port?

-2nd problem i have is reference for my fuel pressure regulator. i have an Aeromotive with a 1:1 reference. does it need reference after or before the TB? i figure since my motor makes 20"+ of vacuum it would drop the fuel pressure from 58 psi to 38-40 ish. is this what will happen?

1. Thats the way its supposed to work.

2. After the tb. You need both vacuum AND boost for the FPR to function properly. At idle the fp should be less than 58psi.

so at idle the BOV is open and pulling in unfiltered air?

i will reference my FPR after the TB tomorrow to see if i can get this thing to idle. will it pull my Fuel pressure down 20 psi when i am in 20" vacuum?

My BOV(along with all tials) do the same thing..unless they are using the wrong springs.
