I think that we can bring the boost in a little sooner and I got a couple little tricks I want to try with the timing below 7K RPM to smooth out the graphs. We also need to come up with a cold air intake as the air is currently being picked up dead center behind the radiator.
Wow I am jealous of that for sure I came out on 7.5psi launch and the first stage ramping 6psi per/sec to towards 22psi and that gave me a bumper tap. You guys must have done something else better then I did else where.

I am gonna have to try stuff cause I don't like wheelies. Think I am gonna call you now in fact

Oh and grats again to everyone who had a hand in.

no ramp on first stage. It gets to 24 as fast as it can. I got the tune under control. That's what I do.

Thanks for the offer though.

HUGE THANKS TO ALL THE GUYS THAT HAVE CONTRIBUTED ALONG THE WAY HERE ON TECH. Almost everything that I have learned came from here. Years ago a guy would have had to figure all this **** out on his own. This is the main reason that I felt compelled to do the build thread. To give a little back. Thx again everyone.

Ha, ha very cool street car! Congrats. Pretty cool post in the front, way to give back. This thread has really caught my attention. If I can move a 555 BBC I have I will be looking to do something similar in an early Chevy. Tuning race cars/street cars at the track is fun, especially when they are someone elses.

What's funny is that within about 3 square miles, we have 3 turbo street fbodies ranging from high 7's to high 8's and they are all black

Wish that some gas station in West Palm Beach would get the E85. It's about an hour round trip to go get it.

Fireball's car didnt use a ramp either, just shows your turbo isn't coming up on boost fast enough with a 422". If your not getting 25-27psi of boost per second you need to revisit the setup. So you should be at 24# of boost at .78 seconds into the run.

Nice work !!!!! Contrats !!!!
I saw some interesting posts of yours over on YB about timing and E85.
Where did you decide to set timing at peak tq ?
The thread suggested that there was little gain in HP with E85 at higher power levels and FI.

Same thing here in Ca. I thought about building a 100 gallon tank and hauling it over there to fill it.

The ams1000 going from a launch setting of 3.5 psi to 24.5 on the first stage is the ramp. If I put 18 psi on the launch to 24.5 on the first stage the car will go on the bumper and make about 25psi of boost in less than a second. I have two broken input shafts because of those settings.

We are intentionally not getting into boost that fast. On the passes that it went on the bumper, we had 23 psi within .9 sec. Right now we have it getting up on the 2nd stage 1.2-1.3 sec. It's liking that. Will probably need some training wheels to bring it in faster than that. The 3rd stage can come in a little sooner though.

All these crazy stages I just have launch boost and each gear is a stage, but no one seems to run their cars like this, I like it but who knows.

For those who haven't seen this car in person, it looks even better in person. Craftsmanship is second to none. Congrats again!

I'm not sure where you guys get E85 up that way, but the only place I have even seen it is the rest stops on the turnpike. I haven't seen it at any gas stations here in Broward. When I lived in Chicago it was everywhere!

Congrats on a killer build. What rpm are you launching at to get that 60?
