Default How much boost before I should worry?

LS3 based 418, 243 heads (for now), truck intake, 10.1:1 compression.

2 questions...How much boost can I run on this motor before I have to worry about lifting a head, or switching to 6 bolt per cylinder (which would necessitate a new block)?

What reasonable priced head ($2-2.5K) would be best to use in this situation to allow the most boost (dare I say safely)?

I plan on doing head studs FWIW...

Also, which head gasket will work best in this senario. I don't have to make a certain number per se, so I'm willing to cut the boost, where my risk starts going up significantly.

Raise boost accordingly. As in til you hit slight knock, then back it down some

AFR heads, LS9 head gaskets.

Seems like a waste to top off a 418 with regular 243 heads and a truck intake...

Yeah, hence the new heads...the 243's are going on my stock short block LS1 car. AFR, TFS...are there any others in that price range I should be considering? I'm wanting 16psi max, so can I get there safely...or should I worry?

A set of ported L92's are less money than AFR and flow very well. 16 psi might be a little too high but the way they flow you might get plenty of power at 14.

The pistons that i'm running are cathedral head based, so that might be a small issue...I like your thought process, but I've just never seen anyone really say how much boost they are running on the L92's...plenty in the 10psi range, I ran 8.5 on my 2010 Camaro, but 14-16psi, I haven't seen...
