The real question is how fast do you want to MPH with that combo? There will be some back pressure issues once you start to head north of 18-19psi but that's going to be enough to roll you thru the traps stretching the 3.42 to 6900rpm pretty easily.

The combo has the potential to run 149-157mph pretty easily. If you stay under 150mph in the quarter you can get away with the 3.42s and still cruise on the freeway around 3K rpm.

The 3.08s will let you max the combo out and still cruise the freeway around 2.7K rpm. The grunt of the 9.5:1 408ci is enough to turn the 3.08s on the street with that converter. This gear should be a bit easier to set the car up for traction at the track while loading up the turbo better as well.

I'm going to be going from a 3.5 to something in the 3-3.2 range for a simliar setup with an ST80 that's gone 149mph and moving to a PT88.
