Default Wiring for procharger single fan

I am planning on running a single spall 16" fan in the procharger shroud since the factory twin fans dont fit. How should I wire the new fan in? I hear the procharger instructions say to just Y the wires from the two stock connectors together, but it seems like when the one of the stock fans turns on it would give it less current than when they "both" would originally turn on a few degrees later. The fan pulls 22 amps if that makes any difference. Or should I just set both fans to turn on at the same time with a tuner? How do most of the procharger guys do it?
Thanks

I did mine the way the Procharger instructions show, and it works great.

Link to the manual is located here...

So do people then tune their fans to come on at the same speed or is that not necessary?

I didn't need to change anything in the tune for my fans.
