fmic intercooler?
what is better about running a good intercooler vs. the ebay intercooler?
i would like to install f1a on my ls3 this winter and i need to know what intercooler to go with! also car will be on the street alot, so not sure if the better intercooler helps in traffic or what? thanks aj

will that also sounds like a good idea!! so all i would need is some alum. 4 inch end caps?
also does the intercooler have anything to do with overheating of the car in traffic?

over heating? thats what a radiator is for
the intercooler just brings your intake temperature down, so you might idle at a higher IAT in traffic, but once you get going again your IAT's should drop

On my D1 set-up last year with a stock cubed engine and the procharger single big fan my car ran a little hot when it was like 100 outside but never too bad. You could run the a/c as well but it would jump another 10-15 deg or so. And the ebay intercoolers have been way fast so I wouldn't worry about it. Yes the more $ you spend it might end up showing a gain but not going to be a huge difference. On my turbo build this winter we cut off one end cap and welded on a new with the cap on top to get a better flow across the whole core compared to just flowing right across.
