Default f1-c vs 80mm t6

My car has been down for a little while and was previously stock 5.7 with a z06 cam and fuel upgrades with a custom sts kit. I made good power but good things come to an end. Since my engine fried a piston I have purchased most of my future turbo build parts including a 80mm turbo, 4" thick intercooler, and a turbo k member. I have not started building the kit yet. I have a forged 370 rotating assembly but have not got the machine work done yet. I feel like I might of had a change of heart and started taking a huge liking into the f1-c, I am not to familiar and wanted to weigh my options. Im looking for a "streetable" high 9 sec car and feel like this might be the choice. I would also be able to skip alot of fab work. Any info is appreciated

Id stick with turbo, will be less wear on motor/crank, and probably make more power if everything is right.

^what he said, not to mention peak boost will come on sooner. Only "downside" is that it'll be easier to turn your tires into smoke.

80mm t6, s480 turbo? ur turbo should be good to 1000ish at the wheels I would think.

You might save yourself some fab work, but that's the fun in the project! And, If you fab it up yourself, you save TONS!

With a solid 370 and good heads, you don't need a F1C to run high 9's. A F1A, much easier to install, should get you there if everything else is right. This is a bolt in - much quicker than a turbo, depends on your skills at home.

No need for a T6 on a 370. Plenty of guys in the 8's running T4. Good luck fitting a T6 in a street car with or without a/c. Now if he has a 402/408 I would completely concur.

I looked into this quite extensively for my build. If you run a large enough DP (4 inch) on a T4 80 or larger) you will easily get into the high 9's on a 370(everything else being equal).

Anything can be done on these cars if you cut enough **** up. A majority of the kits out there simply dont have any room for a t6 car that someone wants to keep "street". And a T6 again isn't needed on a 370, period. Why make it more of a PITA to fit when you can get to the same place with a t4.

Look at los' pt88 on his 370, he has a back pressure issue.
t6 will keep back pressure down.

Yeah and a less efficient hot side can create this issue of back pressure as well. David Childress doesnt seem to have too much trouble with back pressure and is running a PT88 as well. He is faster than los and hasnt said much about hating his t4.

Just go with a GT88 and call it a day. The GT47 comp wheel in that unit is awesome and the packaging is pretty tight.
