Arrow does the outlet of a bov matter?

hey guys im trying to figure what bov to use for my setup and my favorite bov has always been a turboxs rfl. i've always had import turbo cars though never a v8 so is there a difference as to what bov i need to run? i think the rfl is a 33 or 34mm outlet and the turbosmart supersonic is 38mm. what should i do and are there any recommendations on a loud bov i should use?

Ask a sensible question, and you might get a response.

So I'll assume your setup is a 1.0 engine using a T0.05 blower making 1psi of boost. In which case you dont need a BOV.

Or if you wanted to perhaps give some information, then maybe someone can give you a sensible answer.

and as for stevieturbo i see your the smartass on the forums who just likes to bash peoples threads. it was a simple question if you need more info ask and you shall recieve. all i want to know is with a setup that's going to be doing around 550-600whp with a single t76 does it matter the size of the bov?

Steve's response was sharp but deserved. Knowing boost pressures and volumes of air determines the size and configuration of the "right" bov. If you only care about making a loud noise, get your TurboXS RFL with the horn or an old style Blitz.

That said, certain brands and models work differently but all need to be setup for YOUR vehicle to work right. Hell, a crushed DSM or WRX bov will work up to 22psi with small frame turbos on sub-2.5L engines.

So the short answer to your question is, yes.
