With the same block and rods the 4.8 would have to have some very tall pistons to get up to the deck. They have the longest rods of all the stock ls motors (6.275").

im looking foward into this myself- i have 4.8

thinking of bore to ls1 specs.

what are the best budget rod/piston for ls1 specs.?
