Default 5.3 forged rods

Hey everyone I want to put forged internals in my budget 5.3 build. I did search but found nothing conclusive. I know the ls1 has the same stroke. So will they bolt up to my 5.3 crank. I was thinking of buying some eagle rods since they are only 270 shipped for an ls1 motor. The stroke is 6.100 right. My goal os about 800 whp through my powerglide and a mp t76. Thanks again

Don't want to drop the bomb but you said "budget 5.3 build" and "800whp" That deff does not go togather at all! Forged 5.3 taken to 800whp = lots of $$$$$ Almost better off with a 408.

Well I seen people make 600whp on stock 5.3 so I was thinking if I forged up the bottom end and some 317 heads with springs and retainers and a custom cam it would be doable. By budget i ment like not going all out on the best parts

Just buy an L33 and use the stock rods then add some forged pistons.

Why use an l33 motor? isn't it an aluminum block and don't I want an iron block for turbo? Are the l33 engine rods tougher than the other 5.3 rods?

Aside from the 4.8 V8 LS engine all LS series engines have the same rod length (6.098") from the factory 5.3, 5.7 & 6.0 L engines. Most aftermarket forged rods are 6.125", but some like SCAT are 6.100" for stock replacement pistons

So what kind of power will the l33 rods hold up. Cause i found a lm7 for 450 and a l33 for 1100. Just wondering if its cost effective to go with the l33 and just add some pistons and rod bolts

Does that include the motor? Cause I can put my own motor together. And were i live its 15 bucks per cylinder to bore so that's all the machinening I would need. But what size rods you have. There is a overwelming amount of 6.125 rods but will those work with with a lm7 that comes with the 6.098 rods I belive

Rod length is going to depend on stroke and piston compression height. Yes you can put 6.125 rods in a 5.3l Wiesco makes a shelf 5.3l piston for this and a 4" stroke too. They also make a forged 5.3l piston for a stock size rod.
