That's messed up. However, with the people you know - who gives away free 4l80s - you'll be back on the road in no time.

I very much agree.

Besides, there will be no comparison on the amount of low end torque.... Something my 4.8 was lacking.

I might swap out the supercharger with a turbo... or make some cool compound setup....

I think a compound turbo / supercharger setup would be pretty kick ***.

Future plans to happen in next two months.

1. Remove 4.8. Need more displacement.
2. Insert AES 390ci. Seems like solid engine with plenty of room to grow.
3. Bolt accessorys back on. Including p1sc with bigger pully to get at least 8 or 10 lbs.
4. Remove 4.60e that has been running for 4500 miles with only 1st and 3rd gear.
5. Insert brand new 4.80e with transgo kit.
6. remove factory lsd which acts as a spool(tires do NOT unlock EVER. meaning, i hear screaching around corners.)
7. install det. locker. Remove factory ? Gears. Replace them with 3.73s or mabye 4.10s, will have to do math later. I enjoy gas mileage in the 25s.
8. Remove 40 lb injectors from intake. Replace with 80lb injectors.
9. Remove in tank fuel pump. Replace with something a lot bigger. Possibly two external inline maybe? Need to research more.
10. Remove that damn shortband a/f senser/guage that i brought because im a dumbass. Replace with wideband sensor and guage. Would likely prevent total destruction of my engine if i would have did this before.
11. Meth injection? No, not yet. Only planning for a solid 500-550hp at the time.
12. Tuning by ed wright in tulsa. Heard good things about him.

Comments? Disaggrements? Please give feed back before i start blowing 10grand on all of this. it is welcomed.

Why waste a built motor on 550hp, put a D1 on it and crank it up.

Because that is a extra couple thousand added onto the build. Im planning on just throwing a turbo on there for my next project. I like the sound of adjustable boost controller over adjustable boost pulley.

Or, unless, you know know somebody that wants to trade a d1 for a p1. lol.

It could have, but, i think the reason it blew, was on a road trip, I was in the middle of nowhere on a empty tank of gas, I had to throw some cheap 87 in it. On the trip back, went to pass somebody, about half throttle and it happened. Then i had to drive the 100 mile trip back home.....

Put a D1 with a small pulley on it and a wastegate on the coldpiping.

Hrm.... 4l80e with transgo.......

Or.... That 6l80E looks pretty attractive. Having something with lots of power and cadilliac like shifting sounds exciting.

I didn't understand the reason behind that anyways.

Im keeping the p1, its not like im going to need boost control for it anyways....

It will be luckly to make 12lbs spun to 65k

Edit..

Even if i had a d1, the engine/tranny/rear would still be able to take full boost from it.

Im trying to build everything 1000rwhp capable.

That's good to hear Bob. The RPM level 5 in the car you built (and I recently bought) is going to see about 650 RWHP fairly soon.
