questions to ask when shopping for an intercooler???
If I want an intercooler that would support 600rwhp what specifications would I want to hear to know the intercooler I am buying is up to the task?
aren't there numbers like cfm, pressure loss, etc... that I am supposed to be able to take and calculate whether the unit is big/efficient enough to support the HP?
I guess it's time for a google search....
a general rule of thumb, 1.5CFM per HP at the motor is needed.
So 600 HP will need about 900 CFM worth of flow.
on a blower, you'd like to see minimal pressure drop on the cooler as it's harder to make up for that drop without changing pulleys.
