Default COG pulleys have been ordered!

Placed an order this morning for the COG pulleys from ASP......

$650 was the price, this the only price you can get them for now that RPMoutlet had the little slip up.......

76T crank pulley
33T blower pulley
Idler
Belt
Spacers

4 weeks wait time on these, month is not too bad............

These are identical to the ones Frcefed98 has............if these do not work on my car it will be time to take a match and a can of gas and finish off my car...........

I can't see how these could even think about slipping though............

-----IF SOMEONE IS LOOKING FOR 8 RIB STUFF I GOT IT, 7.85" CRANK PULLEY, TWO 3.3" BLOWER PULLEYS & A 3.6" BLOWER PULLEY-----

RIGHT ON! I am glad you ordered em. I was quite lucky to get them for the price I did. $650 is high but worth it for no slip. I am with you if they don't work I will sell the car and be done with it Were you able to get them in a color or just clear anodize?

Kyle, I think bos ordered his today, I am pretty sure he doesn't have them in his hands yet. I am sure that all sets from here on out will have the correct spacers included with them from here on out. We'll see when Bos gets his in though. ASP recommends the ATI dampner from what Lee@ASP told me since the crank cog will bolt to that much easier and is a better design than the pin style crank cog that I have. I wish I had the cash to order the ATI Dampner at the time Just a heads up.

Buschman, beautiful car and sig pic Yeah the price is steep but worth it if we see the boost levels that we want, and it's money saved on tensioner bearings(dont have to tension the belt to the moon) and belts too. No more snapped 6 ribbed belts on the second pass for me

I'm looking forward to getting them on, I'm going to have the Sikora brothers work their magic with that, even if the spacers are off we will make ones that will make it perfect, the alingment is key, that was the thing that was keeping me out of the boost for so long before with the 8 rib setup, then when we get it right, it saw 14psi then nosedived and the belt was toast.......same deal like frcefed98 had....

Lee asked me if I had the ATI balancer, but I told him I was using the stock one, I think the pins will hold up fine, I broke my pins with the 8 rib setup, thats because I had the tensioner maxed...... We drilled that out and used bolts...........I will bring it up when we do cogs, I don't think it will be absolutly necessary though......

I just want to hear the car will the blower again and get boost with no slip............its too damn quiet now........

I told lee the same thing about the pins, the main reason why I was shearing them was the bolt was too long. I cut it down a couple threads and bam no more sheared pins or slipping crank pulley. I sent 5/16-1 dowels back with my crank cog so lee can redrill the holes to that size. I feel that would be a stronger option than the 1/4 dowels that were in there in the first place.

I hear ya, mine has been sitting in the driveway for about a little longer than a month without being started due to this cog issue and tuning issue. PCM will be back here shortly and the cogs should be back anyday now. Did you tell Lee you saw his cog set up here or mention the amount of feedback we are getting on this set up? Who knows maybe with a few more orders the price will start to come back down.

Frcefed what are you doing for fuel.....

I got a CAS regulator, hotwire kit, 255inline, 255intank, speed inc rails, 42.5LB injectors....my car was running out of fuel with this when it was getting 14psi.....

I'm upgrading to twin 340's in the tank or a single 420LPH pump, most likely, I want to try the 57's........I just need enough fuel and don't have money at all to do a FAST setup.....

We have to get it on the dyno first making consitant pulls. At my altitude fuel demand is not like being at sea level. Ed W was feeling pretty confident that the 38's would be sufficient but on my last pull they looked to be running out. We will see. So far I have the racetronix plug and play(gss 340 w/dedicated relays and harness) inline 255 and will be getting an aeromotive rising rate regulator to replace the FMU. If this proves not to be enough, I will move to some SVO 42's and see how she is with those. If still not enough some better rails, racetronix dual intank, larger injectors but I doubt that I will need them. I need to get it on the dyno though with decent tuning and finally no belt slip then we can see where she sits fuel/HP wise.

Keep up the good work guys! By the time I have LPE build my bottom end. This belt slipping issue with ATI will be solved. Bigbos keep Sikora on his toes. He will be the man im going to for my Cog setup. Well if I need it. Only looking for 12psi.
Good luck guys on the rest of the builds. We are counting on ya!!

Thanks bro, I just think ASP would make more of a profit priced at $450 than they will at $650. I was dead set to buy one over the winter. Now I'm not so sure I can justify the additional $200. Perhaps someone will have a sale at some point and I can get onboard.

BigBos I understand. I remember talking to ya outside Speed Inc. when you were first deciding on a iron or 348ci. Ur car been down a while. I would be going crazy to get it back on the road. Im just happy to see u guys trying too solve these promblems. Cause im sure im going to run into some with belt slippage. But who knows, it varies it seems from car to car. Ill be seening you at the track or Speed inc.. I would love to see how the cog will effect are cars on road. I love going on club cruises and driving it on the expressway. So hopefully I will avoid putting a cog on. Good luck on the cog.
I cant wait to see ur car in action. See ya out there.

I heard COGS are not that bad on the street, just harsh on the blower because there is no slip for downshifting and what not.........I think it will be hard with the way I drive my TH400 on the street sometimes......

I'm pretty confident that the belts won't slip, thats really all I care about, belt life varys from 1500-2000 miles, all depending on how you treat it.........

I had to get a lot of little problems with the ATI setup out of the way before I could even get my car to see boost, still hasn't seen a full "correct" dyno pass........I fixed the bracket flexing, then the belts were still walking off, so sikora had to realign the entire bracket setup to get it squared..........we will do the same with the COG pulleys, just want to make sure I get all the correct parts in the first place so there are no delays........

I'm figuring 2 months from now the car will be alive again with the charger, thats if the belts don't slip, thats my only concern......
