Default Over heating at stop lights

Hey guys my car seems to be running upwards of 235 degrees on hot (90 degree) days when Im stopped at a light or in slow traffic. My question is do I need to upgrade from the fan and shroud that Procharger sent and maybe go with two 12inch pushers? It will run hot with or without the ac thanks

I had some similar problems to you. I just changed to 90% Water/10% Anti-freeze and switched my 16" ATI supplied fan out for a new Spal (30102082) 16" fan. That took away all of my problems like that that I had. It is back to running around 175 to 190 degrees depending on the ambient temp. outside and if i have the AC on it might go up to around 200 or so if I am in a standstill.

You can upgrade the 16" fan and install an additional 9" SPAL fan on the shroud (which is what I did).

I also switched to the SLP (LT1) radiator.

The Spal fan 30102082 does not mount to the existing holes if I remember correctly. I am pretty sure I drilled new ones when I installed mine. It was not difficult at all though.

Others think the water pump might be bad. Wondering if switching the fans worked. How did you guys do the wiring.
