There work is outstanding, they are just not known in the LS world yet. After the Hot Rod Magazine car is done that will all change. The main reason headers are different because you need top access to the passenger side for plugs driver side is a cake walk from the bottom. The air to air really surprized me. I see 5 to 15* over ambient on the intake temps. Last year the engine was a 410ci. I had an oiling issue that ended my season before I had a chance to lean on it. This year I have an ERL block and a dry sump so I hope to find the limits of this turbo. I think this system would be even better with the GT55 106. I just dont have the money for another turbo right now.

Why not? I mean aside from why I actually am there's no reason not too for added assurance, other than the money end...

However, the main reason I am is because I like to do some road racing and I will swap the springs to run like 3 psi, instead of 15. No way in hell I could go that low on a single mv-s wastegate.

Ray, great looking setup. I hadn't seen your setup until now. Ron's kit looks pretty good too.

Almost finished, May put a 90 on the wastegate and move it for ease of changing springs, and have to coat/wrap the headers still.

Motor is being sent out (this is just mock up thats why its all grimmy)

Car is an 1987 Iroc-Z

I figured it was for plug access, but aren't both sides accessible from the bottom? Was last year a 4-bolt set-up? I assume this year is a 6-bolt Superdeck 1. Nice combination of parts, all quality. Top notch builder too. This looks like a real nice build. What are the expectations?

I got the 6 bolt super deck but I have to wait until this winter to get the 6 bolt heads I want. I really just want to be able to run the local 8.90 index classes consistantly without stressing the setup. I only have an 8.50 cert on the chassis so I wont be able to run faster than that many times without getting in trouble with the track.

I know this stuff is awfully pricey. What did you have tied up in your turbo set-up? 8.90's is a quick street car. You can PM on the price if you'd like. Is the set-up street driving friendly, I was curious with turbo placement if it pulled all the hot air in off the radiator. BTW, do you have a recipe for the radiator install?

another reason is that you must mount the WG so that it bleeds off exhaust from both banks of cylinders, if it doesnt then you will see massive boost creep. the bank with the gate will all go out the gate, and the bank without will all go through the turbo.

you can mount the single gate at or after the merge, OR, use pipes to mount a single gate to both banks, OR, run two gates.

I was debating that too. But here is mine. Cell phone pics in the garage so not the best lighting.

Two wastegates allow you to run very low boost which in some cases is required to be able to get the car to leave with the amount of power these turbo combinations are making. Most of the single gate/non-optimal placement stuff creeps at low boost levels.
