Default Air Intake in trunk??

I dont think there would be a problem or an issue other then maybe heat, But has anyone with their rearmounts put the inlet into the truck area, I know most are Fbody, but im a gto with a real trunk,

does anyone see any issues with this, Just trying to button my setup and think that maybe this would be the best way to insure no water issues at all

When backing down it is noisy

When hitting it not so bad since the engine and exhaust is majority of sound.

IATs weren't a problem. The air in trunk isn't baked for a week or anything. I would say the air in trunk is less than from underhood...BUT I have an FMIC and run two stage Meth M5's I think.

Car is in TN so I can't check but I think M5's are what is in there.

i would think as long as your using meth it wouldnt really matter then, plus i have plans to run e85, so i think that the air intake in the trunk would be just fine for me

Compared to water road grime etc the trunk is a fair trade off IMO

Good luck

PS meth was used for octane temps dropped maybe 10 15 f in rearmount

The percentage of methanol compared to % of water changes how it 'acts'

Like many discussions there isn't one answer all on here will accept and I don't want this to turn into an argument so I will simply say read other threads on methanol...

I have a link at work to another site that goes for many pages and compares many aspects I will send it and you can link it to your thread if you like
