How well would this turbo work on a Stock CI LS1?
I got a really good deal on this unit and was wondering if this will support a stock LS1 to 550hp..from the reasearch on all i could find i think it will support 14psi up to 6500 rpms on 346 CI motor?? Im looking for a fast spool..and not really a high RPM set up because of the stock bottom end..
The turbo is a PTE PT-63 T-4 turbo specs are..
63mm 56 trim comp wheel, 76 P trim turbine wheel,.81 A/R T4 flange ,6" intake horn,3" V-band exhaust, 2.5" outlet(i think) Supports up to 745 hp at the flywheel says PTE??
also how do you tell if the housing is Tangential or On Center?

i dont see any reason why it wouldnt work well. that hotside is gonna be restrictive if you wanna make big power but it will spool quick. that would be a perfect turbo for a rearmount.

highest i wanna go right now is 550 to the wheels..maybe 600 but i think my intank 255lph pump is going to be maxed out at that point..i already have alot invested in the turbo kit, bolt ons, heads and cam i wanna see what i can get out of the stock bottom end..if i build the forged 6.0 block this winter i want to ill probably buy the garrett 76mm turbo my buddy has for that set up.
i figured after 10psi even with the GM mls gaskets and 73cc heads im gonna be pushing my luck with that on the stock pistons..
whats a good AR for front mount?

you can put another in tank 255 and be good to up to 1200hp. .6x AR is good for a fast spool front mount. I'm running twin .96 AR's on my silverado. I know its going to be laggy.

yea i seen the post about making a dual pump set up but it wasnt really clear on the wiring to support a dual pump set up or where to get a harness kit..i found the walboros for 99 bucks..so id only need one more of them then i need to find a wiring kit with a hobbs switch
i dont want laggy for right now as the goal is to murder some of these stupid fast evos and STI's running around here..most of our runs are from a 20 roll to 120mph and i always have to start low in the rpm range at a 20 roll and i will not spin the engine faster then 6k...prolly shift around 5800 to try keep my rods attached to my crank lol so i dont think ill choke my engine up at those rpms..the trubo is .81AR not .6X
Whats the purpose of the horn? do i need it? looks like i can get it off cuz its jsut pressed on..only reason i need it off is for air filter reasons..unless its more benifical to leave it on there and screen it

I dont see a reason to keep the horn on. if you can take it off ot fit a smaller filter especially if its in a tight space. as far as a wireing kit I made my own with 8 gauge wire and attached it to the alternator and put a fuse in it for the 12 volt side. for ground I ran 8 gauge and grounded it to the block.
