Having a blow-off valve on a MAF setup is not the right way to do it. The right way is a bypass valve like phatasp's first picture, though he appears to be SD.
The reason is that the MAF measures all the air going into the motor. If you dump some via the BOV after the MAF, the fueling profile for the motor, until the BOV closes and MAF-measured air catches up, will be off. You could have some ultra-rich spikes that risk washing the oil off your cylinder walls as a result. Rinsed cylinder walls lead to excessive ring wear which is never good with FI. Also leads to contaminated oil, another bad thing for FI.
SD setups can use a BOV no problem, but MAF can't.

im not too sure on the size, if i remember correctly, my previous one blew off during a dyno run. so i cant say exactly.
i was not aware of that, im going to have to look into it. i thought the only major difference between sd tune and maf was that with a maf setup you know the amout of air flow going into the motor, as where sd, your estimating the amount. am i incorrect?
and so what if i moved the maf after the bov and aftercooler, right before the tb?

That would work. As long as all the air measured by the MAF makes it to the motor you are OK. But if you are dumping air the MAF has already measured, then fueling is calculated for air that is no longer there, so you go rich. Think about this: You have a BOV and an upstream MAF. You are cruising along at 6000 rpm, then you shut the throttle. Blower is still spinning as the motor winds down, air is rushing through the MAF, getting measured then compressed then spewing right out the BOV but the injectors are getting fuel signals based on the air the MAF measured. The throttle is closed, but the injectors are squirting, rich condition and possible cylinder wall hose-down with gas.

I have Reichard racing 2.75" 8 rib pulley for $50 shipped if anyone is interested. It has grooves cut into it to help with belt slip. I know the shaft diameter is the same but I'm pretty sure it would have to be spaced out to be used with a G-trim (I had to cut it down for my YSi).
