GMPP puts LS9 into a 2002 Camaro!
Ya I ran into this car as well in Springfield. It was having oil pump problems at the time and was on a side road at the event...so I cornered the guy to chat about it. He told me the only thing they had to do is some very very minor cutting to the cowl, nothing else, not sure who is telling the truth now that we have conflicting stories. He also said the LSA blower is more shallow than the ZR1 and might fit with no cutting at all.
Since I want to do this pretty bad I might start piecing my own kit together and try to make it work, not sure which blower to go with though. I am also going to need to get some of those mast rect port heads, not sure if anyone else makes the small bore rect port heads yet.

Great looking car, and most def a nice swap!
Man, there is such a big market for guys wanting this type of power adder under the hood. I'd prefer a Procharger or Turbo a million years before I went this route ( I went Turbo FTW!). But to each his own.

The clutch transmits those 638 horsepower to a Tremec T-6060 6-speed transmission, and out back a Strange S60 axle with 3.54 gears and a TrueTrac limited slip do their best to get the power to the pavement.
On edelbrocks website it says an LS2 version for the vet will be out in July...are the LS2 heads rectangular port or are they like the LS1 head? If like the LS1 head then in theory that unit would bolt right up, right?
That's a really flawless nose emblem delete.
What paint color is it exactly? It doesn't look Jet Stream Blue to me. It looks darker and not a three stage paint.
Also, what year is this car? I've seen it referred to as a 2002 here, 2001 by GMPP, and 1999 by that lstv article!

"They haven’t had the chance to take the car to the dragstrip and quantify performance yet, but to give you a baseline, with the LS7 (and about 100 fewer horsepower) the car ran 12.43-seconds at 115mph."
You drop LS7 coin and run a 12.43? What a waste of money.

Probably had traction issues.
