Default Scavenge Pump Set Ups - APS

Finishing up my APS build but I'm having trouble finding a power source thats suitable for the Scavenge Pump.

What have people been using to supply power to the pump?

Thanks

Try to tap into the fuse block and use the lead that controls the fuel pump. That way the scavenge will run only when the pump is working. This will allow you to leave the ignition in the on state without having the scavenge run.

You need to wire this through a relay to make sure its correct. Ask barnat, he has a nice scav. pump system and he has plenty of pictures to show what he did.

I went with a mecanical scavanging pump because i did not like the reliability of the elecrical pumps and the mecanical is RPM related to the oil flow from the turbos ,so no need for a high/ low switch like with the electrical

I use the hot post next to the fan fuse box on the drivers side fenderwell. That goes to a relay. I tapped into one of the pink wires just below it for the key on power source.

Thanks, These pumps are bullit proof too ! My buddys got this same (Johnson HTP) pump on his INCON TT for almost 10 years now, with no issues whatsoever
