Default How to properly setup BOV for SC?

Ok, so I always wondered this and don't know why I didn't look into it more.

I have a Turboxs Type H RFL BOV. This style use's little washers under the spring to add more pressure. I have three 1/16" washers to add some pressure to the spring.

This puts a fair amount of pressure on the piston and it stays closed @ idle. My question is how do I know if I have too little or too many washers in there?

So the BOV isn't open at idle? With the TB closed at idle how does the air escape from the charge in the piping and intercooler? It doesn't, it back feeds through the blower which is not good. It should always be open at idle.

Alright, I'll give that a shot tonight.

That is what I thought, because the instructions that came w/ it were a turbo setup.

What can happen if you back feed the SC? This is a P1.

Its hard on blower internals. The belt is forcing it to spin while the air has no where to escape. I've seen shreaded belts, bearing failures etc. Ditch the RFL and get a procharger or vortech race valve.

a bypass valve, or bov on a supercharger should always be open at idle and only close when vacuum drops, pull the shims out and see what it does
