Way TOO much blowby from PCV
Last night I drove the car with the boost at around 8 lbs, and the throttle body coupler blew off. I got it reattached, but the smoke coming from the PCV vent was so much, that the car looked like it was on fire for a while there. Got the car back to the house, reattached the coupler better to the TB, turned the boost back down to around 5 LBs, and went back out for a spin. Car drives great, but still smokes.
Obviously a compression test would be in the works for this particular situation, but does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be? The vent system I have right now is a crappy plastic cap with some filter material in it (obviously need a better system). After a ten minute drive, the filter material is saturated with oil mist. Any ideas guys!?
I did have a line running from the PCV vent to the TB, but there was no check valve (this was last week), so I removed it and went back to the aformentioned setup.
