Default CTS-V vs TT-ZR1

Here's my buddy's CTS-V running a healthy 10.54 vs one of his friends with a twin turbo ZR1 (not compound) running a 9.43. It was very hot and very humid.

Both these cars are full interior, no cage, with A/C.

What's pretty cool is that they took the guts out of the blower on the ZR1 but it's still on the car so you can see it thru the window in the hood like stock.

I think it's got a bigger TB, cam, exhaust, pulley and tune. I think it's at about 19 psi but not sure 100%. I am sure that the short block is stock and so is the blower......for the moment.

It made like 1200 rwhp but it's a stick car hence the slower ET for the MPH. Race weight is 3800# on that vette also.

Great times for street cars! Is the ZR1 still running a standard bottom end?

I love how everyone on the corvetteforums gave that Zr1 **** and said it would never make it to the track and run good.

Well, that video shows how much they know

Yeah, I dont know much about the ZR1. I didn't know that it was stroked. He's a friend of Manny's (CTS-V owner). Manny's also got a T-Type that has been 8.20's and his diesel truck (tow vehicle) has run high 10's as well. He's a maniac. Always has to be ******* with ****. He ran a 10.6 his last time out and I called him to say congrats. His reply was,"I want to be first in the 9's". My reply,"here we go again". LOL

thats pretty cool.

im surprised they let them run. at our track you couldn't run those times with out a cage.

seems kinda odd to me to pull the supercharger to run turbos. seems like it would be more cost effective to buy a z51 or grandsport. part of what you pay for with the zr1 is the exclusivity of owning one.

both are very impressive cars though. i think the caddy is pretty cool though i take that over the vett. i mean how many caddies are you going to run into that are that fast LOL
