Default turbo vs. procharger

i need help on deciding which to go with on my 99 trans am, does a procharger suck more gas that a turbo,... which one makes more power generally, if i went procharger i would get a D1SC and turbo would be 76mm,... just need some opinions guys thanks

and just talking out of my *** on this one but id figure a turbo would get better gas mileage because its not putting a parasitic drag on the motor when crusing

i prefer turbo. but there is alot of pros and cons the procharger makes boost relative to rpm and a turbo on exhaust pressure. which u have ur choice of options on turbo wheels and housings to make it spool really fast or slower and then u still have boost controller that let u controll boost pressures at different rpms. u should try a search youll go crazy with all the info on here.

Procharger is easier IMO. Bolt on and go! Lots more custom fab work needed with a turbo setup!

Ive had 2 twin turbo setups and now a procharged car, I like the procharger.
Turbo will make more power & torque but it also comes with more problems.

X2 I had a TT T/A DD and now have a procharged car. I'm much happier with the crisp throttle/power response and no lag. The whine is cool too. Also, much simpler setup with less to go wrong. My TT setup had bugs constantly.

Well Im definitely not trying to **** anyone off because both systems will give you what you want but what made my mind up when I decided to go FI is that looking in th FI section I would always see a couple ?'s about SCers and then about 25 asking whats wrong with my turbo system. It just seemed there were alot of problems with the turbo systems trying to get them right. JMO j

Most of the "help" that people ask for has to do with education. Not necessarily a "problem". Turbos are more complicated to setup but simpler to operate.
