OK guy's here it is.

The C5R studs are made for GM by A-1 in California. The studs that come with C5R blocks are made just like your standard ARP studs that most of us are running. Now Katech uses H11 head studs, also made by A-1. These are used on the C5R race engines. They are far better than the standard ARP bolts. The H11's have a far better manufacturing process. They are stress relieved and have a different heat treat process. They are very good but, they are very expensive. If there is enough interest I will make some calls and see what I can come up with. If we can get some people behind this I will get them rolling. If you are using a big power adder or spraying the hell out of it these studs are what you want. So who's interested??

Thanks

I might be interested. Is that $375 price tag above for these H11 studs? I'll try to give you a call tomorrow, I think I'll be "working" alone.

Put me down as interested.

I'd probably be interested in a set of studs depending on how soon you could get them.

Hey, This is Dave White chiming in. I do have a couple of sets of the H-11 (265,000psi T/S) head studs left. This is the best material for the money($375 plus shipping). The C5-R head studs are made out of MP-35N or "Multiphase" material, it is the best and it better be for a cool G a set. My studs are made by A1 Tech in Cali, they are about 30 min from me. I've been there many times and know the staff very well. The facility, staff, machinery and process for making the product is awesome!! They make a lot of the fasteners for Top Fuel, Indy etc and have a special heat treat and process to maximize the H-11 material. I was pondering doing another production run, if there is enough interest I can have another 20-25 sets made and also maybe main studs as well. We've already done a production run so all I have to do is make a call to run em again. PSJ is using these with great results. Let me know or start a list of people that are serious about this and we'll see how many we have. Thanks Dave indacalinc@sbcglobal.net
