Looking to be pointed in the right direction
I have always loved the WS6 and the looks of that car. I owned one many moons ago and still miss it even to this day. I am starting to consider picking up a mint 2002 with low miles and modding her.
I will just tell you guys what my goal is and exact wants for this car; maybe that will make your advice easier to give. It will be an auto car (forklift accident) I wanted to have the LS1 forged and go F/I either Procharger or turbo. I am leaning more towards turbo because I just think they match up with the auto cars nicer. The plan was find a low mile 2002 WS6, Forge the LS1, RPM Level 5 A4 tranny upgrade and turbo kit. I have been away from the F body world for a long time and do not know who makes the best kits, who are the best speed shops, who to stay away from, who to do business with and so on. I am not looking for insane power. If I could have a fun reliable street car forged at maybe 12lbs running 130 traps or around there i would be very happy. Slower, faster, whatever but around there is what i am thinking.
I was reading that Precision turbo make good products so maybe that is an option? The problem is I am not the most mechanically inclined guy. I know what I want and if I had a clean WS6 with an auto , forged motor and a nice turbo set up I would be very happy with the car. It will mostly be a fun street car with the ocasional trip to the drag track and road course. I know F/I is not the best choice for road racing but it would not be very often and I would keep an eye on my oil temps. In Jersey when I had my vettes I would take them to ECS and I know they were in excellent hands. I don't know any good speed shops for F bodies and I don't really know which turbo kits or if I should even go with the turbo over the Centri. I def don't wanna turn this into a turbo vs supercharger thread, there are pleanty of those and I know its pretty much your opinion. So if you guys know of a good option that once its installed and tuned properly I shouldnt have a problem I would love to hear your ideas. Thanks so much for your time and advice.
Chris
