And next year when Im ready for 20-22psi I wont have to buy a new sensor.

I'm running a Cobalt 2.5 bar MAP.Is there anyway I can dial in 20#s without moving up to a 3 bar MAP and redoing my whole tune?
Thanks

a 2.5 bar sensor will read up to 22 PSI boost.

The issue is if the tables where tuned at 22 PSI boost.

You can run 25 PSI or 30 PSI on a 2.5 bar sensor, its just that the computer will not add anymore fuel once you pin the sensor. So if you run lets say 30 PSI boost and command 30 PSI boost worth of fuel at 22 PSI.. then your ok. The issue is if you run 25 PSI, then it will be way richer..

Think of it like an 85 MPH speedometer.. your car can run 120 MPH.. just that the speedo wont it. Or a better one.. 87 Buick GN.. MAF pegs at 14 PSI reads 255 grams.. yet we run 30+ psi boost on them. Its all about how much fuel is commanded. This is why they make example 25 PSI chip.. becuase it commands enough fuel to support 25 PSI. And be pig rich at 20 PSI.

Just found this thread. I am currently using the 3.3bar sensor from the GMC Savanna or Duramax Diesel trucks. It won't work unless you change the offset. Change the offset until you see 100.0 kPa at startup. Don't buy the Chinese POS either. It doesn't work and will make you think a 3.3bar won't work all together. Trust me....it works. And yes. I am talking about the one with the same form factor as the factor LSx 1-bar and not the big monster that came on the 89TTA. Update. A respected fellow tuner shared something with me a while back and I forgot I posted this or else I would've updated it a long time ago. Road Rebel, aka Phil Hoefler shared the specs of this sensor with me and when you look at them, they're not good. The error and temperature coefficient error is high on these and can cause instability. I changed to a custom 3-bar that I built with a motorola chip that has much tighter specs. Running the 3.3 bar wasn't terrible, but the Motorola chip was a bit smoother for me.

Here's my quote from the cousin site.

Here's the latest info I have. Ignore the 2.0 bar comment. It's a 3.3 bar sensor.

Delphi MAP sensor 16235939, now part# 12623671 = AC Delco 213-4658. Fits 01-09 GM/GMC trucks, 6.6L Diesel, ¾ & 1 ton models, Sierra, Silverado, Express Vans, Savanna, Vin 1, 2, 6, D. (also fits Harley Davison applications)
Here's what they look like
