Default piston limits

Hey guys/girls, just wanted to know if anyone's boosting on these pistons (turbo or blower) and what are my limits when running these? I already talked to the nitrous guys just to get a idea on which way I wanna go with my build. I was thinking if I went the forced route then it wont be so harsh on the pistons, but thats why I need you guys knowledge. I'm just starting my build and I know there's better piston out there for boost, but I came across these brand new for cheap and I could'nt let them go. Anything I can do to to reach my goal of 750-800rwhp on these pistons?

Should be a good piston. You will want to use a set of 317 heads to get the comp ratio down into the mid 9's. Limits? If you mean power level, then match them with quality rods and a good tune and 700-800 should be possible.

BadgeZ28 thanks man for the feed back, I started to think I was asking a retarded question. Maybe I could have been a little more clear, but w/e. So I know 317's are a budget head for boost, but If I have the money what would be the best heads to reach my goals on a turbo setup?

And I went with Eagle H-beams.

Glad your doing your research first.
Should have a little more info from you....
But generally people run 225's in the brand of your choice.
I'd ask Shawn at VA speed or Ed at FTI about a set for you.

Our builds are similar.... Ed's going to do my Dart heads if he ever answers my PM about price. I got the Dart's cheap otherwise I'd be using ported 317's.
With your M6?, I'd go with a 78mm compressor w/ Strim turbine and full size compressor housing. Or twin 61mm w/ O or Ptrim turbines.

The best head, imop w/o testing, are the Performance Induction heads Shawn or Ed sell.
But they run about $3500. TFS as cast 220's will work and cost about half. Just your boost level and cam choice will change.

So you going to use this on late night H1 runs or what????
I've done a few of those back in the day by Barbers Point.

If you have the money, your best avenue is to have one of the LS motor pros build your motor. We have a wealth of talent on this board who know how to get the most power and reliability out of LS motors. Tell them what power level you want to be at and you can pretty much be assured the motor will produce and stand up to those levels of abuse.

Yeah... Not really the road I wanna go down. Looking to maintain a budget, and the original block. Plus I live in Hawaii! Shipping plus the time differance from the mainland It would be a pain in the a** the get a motor built

I run Diamond pistons in my ride. Mine are slightly dished to lower compression ratio. It's been a brick **** house for me with no reliability issues.

I'm 907RWHP through a TH400 so I would assume the crank HP would be somewhere around 1150 or so.
