The Pass Time Experience
The Pass Time Experience So, I would like to hear from someone that has gone out for the Pass Time Show. I'm interested in the specifics of how it's run. What happens when you get there? When do you find out if your were picked? Once you are picked, what happens next? Basically everything leading up to being in front of the cameras. More concerned with the back story than the actual running down the track part.

I call it a "not really" guarantee. I'm pretty sure that he'll get in. Depending on who you ask, they are filming 11-22 shows in the next 2 days. That's a lot of cars. Regardless, a bunch of us will be out there tomorrow ALL DAY
. Hopefully we can steal some electric from the track to run the A/C in the trailer. It has been Africa hot here during the day.

Hopefully we got the boost popping off problem under control. He hit it on the street yesterday afternoon and I saw 27 psi on the log. The only thing that concerns me is that he was rolling into it so it was a much slower boost ramp than we see at the track in 1st gear. The problem we had last time out was that it would pop the BOV over 22-23 psi. Circumstances have been such that we haven't been able to get back to the track between then and now.
My understanding is that if you get picked, you get one test pass.

I ran zombiess car on pass time. It takes for freaking EVAR.
I got to the track at 9 am......got picked around 1 I think, and made 1 pass around 930 pm..... They asked what it ran, I said 10.0 135....then 9 hours later I ran 10.001 135.28....lol
They said you can go back to your trailer....I said uh.....I drove it....
By the time I wanted to bail, I was in 6-7 hours.....so I was staying. They set up lights in the car, pictures, interviews, etc etc....all for one pass. Then 1/2 the people go out and blow the pass.....so know your set up, and dont spin.

We got there at 8:30 AM . Picked at 2:30 PM. No test passes. Ran at 2:00 AM. That's not a typo. 17 hrs total. Car was selected #9 (featured car for the episode). Got in the burn out box and he had a problem with the line lock. He had to footbrake the burn out with a VERY tight stall. Seems like the sprag broke in the converter during the burn out. He made his pass but it sucked. Would only go to 1300 on the tbrake.
I think that Ken recognized the car from somewhere becuase he guessed 7.95 and out of the previous 26 cars that ran, only one on a huge tire ran in the 7's of many big tires and even a dragster.
One of our friends with a fox body turbo was the #9 car for the last episode. He probably didn't get to run until 4AM this morning.

Don't know if we actually talked. We are the ones that refilled his CO2 tank with nitrous as the extreme heat popped the burst plate in his bottle. It aws brutally hot out there during the day. Heat index was 104*.
