My 71 camaro LS2 w/ MAG build

NO! Although I asked 1000 times if the SD5 was the same size, dimensions, etc as the SD7 air conditoning compressor and low and behold it's not. So I need to cut some spacers. Plus I would like to send out my ECM to the tuner to raise the IFR's to 78 for the new fuel requirements, etc.

Well finally getting aroud to tuning this thing...long story!
Have to start from scratch so a lot needed to be done. The ECM is a MEFI and there was no FI tune on it to start. So started by working on start up, idle, etc which all seems good now. But the first pull showed 18 lbs of boost!! Way too much for what I want out of this car. It is a 3 inch blower pulley, 10 inch crank and OD rears. I am going to flip the rears and UD it.
This should work out fine. One pulley is 3.0 and the other is 3.490. The ratio is 16%overdriven or 86% under driven. We had 18 psi and we should have 14 psi in the under driven configuration. I have to machine the back blower bracket so the larger pulley will clear it. I will fly cut it on the mill so it looks nice, doesn't look like a structural thing, just have to cut the profile of the rear jackshaft bracket a little shorter. I will get it machined and put it back together in the morning.
I thought I would share the dyno plot of the super boost run. trying to do a steady state point at 35MPH and rolled into the throttle and the tires blew off the rollers. I was looking at the graph and seen the torque was only 310 ft/lbs at 18 psi….but I plotted the wheel slip and that torque was at 46% wheel slip! That’s over 480 ft/lbs of torque at part throttle.
my biggest fear was front belt slip as the belt is as long as the mississippi river!
